So on 3 different occasions now I have come to a stop light or stop sign and have had the rpms go up to 1000-1500RPM. First instinct was to drop it into neutral, it still stayed at a little over 1000RPM. Not 100% sure but it seems to happen when the car is in tip-tronic and just left in gear without any manual shifting. I put it back in to drive and after a minute or two of driving seemed to disapear. The car was still cold and warming up, about 3 Degrees Celcius this morning however the car was in the garage and has been parked for the past 3 days. I also recently changed the OEM air filter to a K&N drop in oiled filter which will be getting changed shortly with an F Sport intake. No CEL lights. Hopefully that covers all the information. If anyone can help me out here with some possibilities it would be appreciated.
It's probably because the car is still cold. Has it ever done it when it's warm? Tomorrow, let the car run for 5 minutes before you leave, and see if it does it. If it still does this when it is warmed up, you've got a problem.
