Default Ever driven another car, then runs back to your IS?

So I got a chance to drive my gf's TL FWD recently. I mean really get to drive it a little harder than normal. Instantly, I realized how much I like my RWD IS. it handles well, but not quite like my IS does. The power was nice (I have a 250), but I wasn't very impressed with the suspension. It felt a lot rougher than my IS. I expected more for A $40k range vehicle. Guess I'm just a little snooty, because my Lexus definitely feels smoother. The tech package was nice though, she has options I wish I did. HDD for example. And the leather felt better. Just a personal observation. I probably wouldn't give up my Lexus for a 4th gen TL anytime soon.

Anyone else have similar experience?

My old mans Venza, 3.5v6 awd. I figured out I am just not a fan of suv's, crossovers or whatever. I know it's not the same class or anything but wow...

any car drives better than my GS

im too low and slow to do any sort of "aggressive" maneuvering besides swerving for potholes

My friend and I switch cars back and forth on occasion. He has a C5 covette Z06 and lemme tell you, I prefer my Is250 than the corvette. Its nice to have the power there and its a fun car to drive but its SOO low to the ground that I have to roll out the car on the ground just to get out. The suspension is uncomfortable and the C5 gear box is a little weird. it has 1-4 shifting where it jumps 2 gears if you get on the gas hard in first gear. Its hard to keep track of what gear it is in.

I prefer my IS

my wife went cross-border shopping with some of her girfriends last week and drove a late model Jetta that belonged to one of them. Said she had to stomp on the gas to get it to merge on the highway.

Made her appreciate the effortless power of the 350 that much more...

I've driven my girlfriend's Honda accord, friend's Scion Tc, sister's Infiniti G37 and mom's Mercedes S430 and I always missed my IS350 whenever I was in another car/driving another car. Infiniti G37 does have a fun/gives feedback but I enjoy the luxury and comfort of the IS350. The interior quality of the G37 is also disappointing besides their factory Bose speakers and outstanding GPS software.

I just feel more "boss" with my car lol :P

the first time i showed up at the lexus dealership, i test drve the is250 and it felt like the best car i have driven or been drove in and so i bought it. drove everything from new mustangs,, camaros,chargers,300, maybe a mercedes c300 was pretty close or even better but i barely got to drive it and im sure it cost way more. but i felt pretty boss is my is250. and im stickin with it.

Funny for me was the other way around, I liked TL much better. It is build much solid it has real leather. Tech are about the same but I prefer the touch screen on my IS and i didn;t like that curve plastic in front on the navigation screen TL has which creates glare and you cannot see the screen when it's super sunny outside.
Both cars start at the same price I don;t see why you said that it's a $40k car. Both can be equally optioned.
Only thing that made me choose Is over TL is that TL was too big for my needs and the gas mileage wsn;t that good on the 2010 model I tested. They improved it a lot with the 2012 model which takes the same mileage per galon as my super slow IS250 whcih make me hate my car now.

I switch between my late model 2nd gen TSX (parents use it now) and my IS250 occasionally. I find that the TSX actually handles better and more sportier even though it's FWD...weird huh. The IS250 is a lot quieter and smoother though and the materials are alot better.

I work at an Acura dealer and was pretty close to trading in my IS350 for a 4th generation TL. My IS350 has coilovers and F-Sport sway bars but I still felt like the TL SH-AWD handles better than my IS. The SH-AWD is so good in snow too. It was even fun when doing drifts with it in the snow unlike my IS. The interior is nicer and the sound system is way better. The only thing I disliked is the looks. I ended up not trading since the TL cost too much even with my IS traded in.
