08 is250 vais sl2i/head unit problem??
Hey guys im Drew new member here..
I've searched and haven't had any luck finding anybody with the same problem as me so here i am..
I just picked up an 08 is250 about a week and a half ago..
since the first time i went to see the car the stereo hasn't worked.. Regular head unit not the NAV..
after getting the car home and pulling the head unit out i found that the car had a vais tech sl2i ipod interface..
Now the interface I'm assuming works but the stereo is where the problem starts..
first most noticeable thing is there is no sound from any of the speakers leading me to believe that the amp may have been out..
after spending more time checking everything i found that when i try to turn the volume up nothing happens.. including when i try from the steering wheel..
The same goes for settings.. If i try to adjust bass, treble, fade, balance or anything else it does nothing..
as for changing between stations, AM, aux, disc and everything else still works..
When i pulled the head unit out i completely removed the vais sl2i and plugged all the cables directly back into the head unit and still having the same problems..
I'm stuck with what it could be..
being new to this Lexus I'm hoping some of you would have some input..
Any and all would be incredibly appreciated..
Thanks guys!

I had checked the fuse but forgot to mention.. though the only one I found was in the fuse box under the passenger side glove box..
Do you know if there should be others?
Could the stereo problems be symptoms of the amp being out?
