Yeah I just blip the throttle, I'm more used to doing that (did it all the time in my mustang in the past). Isn't hitting the rev limiter bad for the car though? I've heard people bounce of it a lot when they're drifting

changing the gauges to show gears actually did help but I realized that if I revved just enough and timed it correctly while the transmission is shifting into the lower gear, it prevents the jolt completely. I asked my sister (she was with me in the car at the time) if she felt anything while I was downshifting and she said she didn't

You have to press the DISP button on the steering wheel, it's the last option on the LCD screen before it goes back to showing the outside temperature.

lol all kidding aside, I don't let the needle hit the limiter. When I used the manual mode for gear limiting, It's because I don't want it to upshift into a higher gear when it's not needed. For example, I used it a lot at the Tail of the Dragon. There were a few straights and I didn't want the car to go into 4th or higher when I let off the throttle so I left the shifter in 3rd. In the hairpins, I shifted down to 1 and back up to 2 or 3 so I'm always in the meat of my powerband.
