Parking sensor Holes on IS-F style bumper
Hey guys,
Just finished installing the IS-F style bumper on my car. Fitment was pretty spot on so I am happy with it. Something along the lines of OEM yet a little more aggressive. The bumper came with the headlight washer covers but also came with the holes for parking sensors. My car didnt come with parking sensors as a standard option so I am thinking of ways to cover it. I had the idea of just using some standard parking sensors and didnt really care if they were functional or not BUT i didn't do my research and those sensors are about 60 bucks a piece USED!!
Has anyone gotten around this sensor thing with out the body shop filling the holes before paint. Bumper is already painted
Kind of a fail on my part. Excitement got the best of me
Last resort is to buy those cheap ebay parking sensor kits for 20 bucks and just cut off the ends, used the sensors and toss the rest

Buy the parking sensor kit thing , I had a similar problem with holes for the washer holes but luckily I got it plastic welded before paint not a lot of options since it's already painted

Pretty spot on I would say. Everything went fine with the install except everytime i put it on, it felt like one side came a little short to have all the holes line up. Once i realized it was left side, then right then left side again, i realized it was time to call a friend and have a second hand lining it up properly lol. Im still waiting on F-sport grille but its not a huge deal for me with the stock grille.
there are a few things different that the splash shield mounts on this bumper is a 90 degree mount at the bottom of the bumper when the splash shield mounts on the car is flat with the car. (they do line up, nothing a 90 degree angle mount from lowes cant fix) It does require you to redrill the license plate mounting holes on the front which I opted out of doing. (I always hated it). AND you have to get clips for the headlight washer covers which it doesn't come with. (but 3m double sided outdoor tape will do fine, its never gonna come off)
Also i was just PMing with another memeber that the IS-F shares the same fog light housing as the camry/corolla, avalon, sienna, prius etc. The IS-F foglights are $75 each side from toyota. If you buy it for the late model avalon or camry, its $45 a pair plus shipping. It fit fine and all the mounting holes lined up. Cant even tell the difference
Im waiting for spring for some more mods like lowering it and wheels. I snowboard alot so i am leaving it stock height for the winter here.
