Default IS250 coolant leak

Hey all! So I'm a bit concerned about the coolant leak issue with the is250 models. I searched and saw a TSB for it and also some people having issues at certain miles (50k and up). I recently did my front grill repaint and saw that there was pink crust around the radiator cap. Is that validate a leak? Does any one know if we can see the water pump area from just looking over the engine? I was hoping to check it out in the morning but wanted to see if anyone knows that I can easily see any leaks or pink crust from removing the plastic engine covers and looking down.

Dried coolant residue on the expansion bottle isn't signs of a leak. This is common as the coolant expands the level rises and sometimes overflows in small amounts, usually this happens through the small hose that lets out coolant near the grille. Make sure the cap on the bottle is secured on properly, if not then it will mess easily

pink crust around the radiator cap isn't really a sign of a leak. it would be someone poured some in and missed the hole on the first try. clean it off and check again next week. Also check around the water pump. if you really wanna know right away you can use a coolant pressure tester. if it dose not hold pressure you have a leak somewhere
