I'm getting 15mpg with 90% city driving, using Premium Shell V-Power 93. Definitely winter-blend and daily temperature drops doesn't help. Despite that, the oil report is could defiantly be a contributing factor to that poor gas mileage. Might be tricky trying to deal with that issue with the dealership. I would try to get in contact with a district rep and see what help they can lend you.

I just had my recall done too and after i got it back the car ran like absolute ***...shifting was slow, engine didn't rev as fast...and i floored it and my butt dyno tells me i've lost 50hp at least...i didn't notice any gas mileage drops.

So what i did was floored the car everywhere i went, forcing the computer to relearn my driving style...and when the tank was empty i put in the gas i use, and all is fine now..i suspect the dealer filled it with 87 gas after they finish the recall.

I think if you never heard the rattle it's probably OK. If I were you, I would get it done anyway, but there is no rush. I heard my car rattle only once about a month ago. I'm not sure it's only an issue when it rattles (means something is loose) or it could cause problems even if it doesn't rattle.

The dealer I go to puts premium gas; they gave the cost of refilling once. Some RX does only use regular gas.

So i went through my first full tank on shell premium and only got 260 miles on a full tank. I did however do some audio work on my car and disconnected the battery for 3+ hours and was hoping my ecu would reset and go back to normal. I did that friday evening and it went back to normal usage Friday and saturday but by sunday gas mileage plummeted. this makes me think that the ecu knows something isn't 100% and is burning through the fuel to compensate even though its not throwing a check engine light. car goes back in tomorrow morning for a test drive and then they will determine if they need to look at it more in depth. giving them oil report and sample of the oil they put in and i drained.

also my dealer does not put gas in my car even if its there for a recall. never have nor have i asked for the exact reason i don't want 87 or even 89 in it.

going from 24mpg to 16mpg after a recall is unheard of.

took car to dealer today they said they looked everything over and everything is completely fine and they saw nothing wrong with it. My honest opinion is they hooked a scan tool to it and it read fine so they said "***** it, not our car"

My '06 hasn't had the cam issue by now, it's not going to. I'll be skipping the recall.

not all 06 were affected, had to be within a specific VIN range. I remember I had to check mine

If I recall. IS350's weren't included in the recall. This is a 250 issue.
