help car stall while driving 2008 is250
So when my wife is driving the car, it just stalled on the fwy. She have tow the car home.. When I jump the car is started right up but once I remove the jumper cables the cars died. I went to go change out the alternator I got from the dealership and so now the car starts up but the alternator is not charging. There is power going to the line. Not sure what could be the problem? Have anyone else have this issue? Also we check the fuse. Anything info will help. Thanks in advance

In the above comment you had not mentioned about a new or GOOD battery present. It is VERY common for a bad alternator to drain and completely make your existing battery no good. I'd recommend replacing the battery too at this pont.
Remember, you can disconnect the battery and take it to any auto parts store to have them check it out...so you don't just have to take my word for it.

They could have just given you refurbished alternator or it could have been a defected alternator, id take the alternator back n ask them to give you a new one or you could always attempt to rebuild the alternator yourself but your best bet is to have Lexus swop the defected alternator for a new one

It's been a common practice for me to change them both (alternator and battery) at the same time. This actually just happened on my '08 350 yesterday. Started up the car, battery light was on, got on the freeway and the navi went out, then shortly the car did. Didnt even get a day to shop for the battery. Alternator is covered under warranty so that was cool, but the battery (like we all know) had to be changed too. So, bought a new battery and get it back today. Less than a day in the shop.
