Default 2010 or 2008 is 250 which would u buy?

2008 premium package heated cooled seats. 38 k miles extended warranty transferable. White tan interior. $20,000.00
2010 30 k miles base car. White blk interior. 23,500.00
Are there needed changes between 08-10 model. Condition of cars the same. Can purchase extended warranty on 10 at dealer.

I would push you to hold out for the 350 BUT, with that said of the two I would go with the 2008, I love extras

Honestly I would not even care about the miles on these cars, you are buying a lexus.

20k seems a little high for me for a 2008, I mean it does have little miles but I would go for the 2010. I am buying a 2010 this spring and am looking to spend right around 20k, have found a few already for that price that have the navi .

I greatly appreciate responses. Let me give a little more info that might help me make this decision. Car is for my 16 yr daughter. So 350 not needed. 2008 is original owner with proper maintenance 7 yr 100 k extended transferable warranty. Led lights started 2011...2010 is at dealer does have her first choice in interior color. Doesn't have cooled seats. No history of owner. Is there mechanical issues in 2008 that 10 wouldn't. To my knowledge not much change in cars. Thanks so much for your responses. Buying for Christmas in the morning! Any info helpful.

i would vote 350 but since you said for your teenage daughter i would definately choose the 2010 over the 2008. nicer options like bluetooth music, and more useable things like that.

As far as issues go the 250 was bascially all the same so you cant really go wrong with either, but i would definitely choose the newer one if it were me

Personally I would go with the one with the more loaded package, but that's just me, I like having the extra things..
But jdmSW20 makes a good point. The Bluetooth would bea nice option to have.

Would the 2008 have auxiliary hookup so we could still play music from phone. Bluetooth I have in all three of my vehicles it is a great feature. Is there many other feature changes.

I would go with the 2010 just because you said she likes it (unless you want to save a couple thousand), but there really is no difference between the 2 other than the blinkers on the mirror; not much mechanical issue differences that I know of. Also, the "premium" package on the 2008 doesn't add that much from the base (cool/heated seats and wood trim) -- unless the 2008 has navigation.

The 2010, you might be able to buy extended warranty if it's still under Lexus basic warranty (hint: don't buy extended warranty from the dealer). Ask the dealer for the VIN of the car, then you can go to Lexus Drivers web site and register as a user there and you can see maintenance history, but not who owns it -- Car Fax will show the number of owners, and most dealerships will provide that for free if you ask.

Wasn't something changed in 2010 to reduce the carbon build up issue?
