Picked up my is350 today. 2009 w/ 40k miles - Black on ecru, f-sport critical stuff ( suspension, intake, exhaust), fully loaded, custom engine cover, 3 piece 19" carbon fiber wheels on Bridgestone potenza tires. Dealer bought a new set of 275/35/19 for the back waiting for me to burn off the current ones...

Let me tell you all - I hated these wheels before I drove the car, but damn if they don't actually make a HUGE difference in how it pulls at high speed and into turns...

Guessing, I'd say they weigh only 13-15 lbs each, but I'll weigh them when I get the new tires. I did have fun driving 7 hours through the mountains on the way home...

I'm still amazed at how easily I can drift this thing / put the back end EXACTLY where I want it.

Ordering parts right now... Catch you all later ;-)

Forgive the cardboard boxes... It was an Amazon Christmas!

Welcome! Sounds like it you got exactly what you wanted!

I would like to see close-up pics of these CF wheels when you have a minute.

Congrats on the car! Those are true CF wheels? With the bling stripes?

Haha - yeah. Deep dish, 3-piece custom made by Dub. They started selling the option after they made them for this car.

I'll post more pics next week after I detail everything, but here is a close up and link...

You can still get them in custom colors... $6000 for a set is about 1/2 of what my cars previous owner paid.

I'm thinking I'll rebuild them and sell/trade - they do have some scuff marks I need to wet sand, but nothing down to the carbon threads.

Thanks. Always careful - wife and 2 kids at home, history of growing up in Detroit and racing scca, so I like to think skills+responsibility are on my side ;-)

Nice pick up. My dad always said though never pick up a car in the dark or the rain. Hopefully you went around the car for everything before you picked it up

Yeah - I did more than that. I had a friend go out and spend 3 hours driving via FaceTime with me before I drove down to ATL - I inspected & drove it this morning before the rain, and then took off... It started raining on me about 1/2 way home.

You know - I was on the fence about the interior. It looks a lot nicer than I thought it would - plus, it doesn't seem to have the issues we have with our other Lexus - namely a sticky dashboard and faded blacks (I saw the same on every IS with a black interior). So, why be like everyone else?
