Default OE Tire Life

My 2012 IS350 RWD F-Sport came with Dunlop SP Sport 2050 tires. I currently have ~22000 miles on them. The rears still look good but the fronts are getting wear on the inner sides. I lowered my car at ~19000 miles, got an alignment a week after, and then took a ~2000 mile road trip from Seattle to LA.

I was just wondering how many miles you all went on the OE tires before replacing them?

Not sure if you can see the inner tire wear but attached is a pic of my front drivers side tire looking towards the rear.

My tires needed to be replaced by 22k, I have a AWD 350 and they were quite bad. Much worse than your image.

I'm at 32k and the outer on the fronts are much balder than the backs and I have awd.. But I do take corners crazy as I used to road race. Lowered on coil overs with alignment

I made it to just under 30k before I had to change the fronts. The rear were good for another couple thousand before they too got to the point where they needed to be changed. I changed them all at (roughly) the same time. I have V12s that just hit 30k and still have 75% tread (they were 80% couple weeks ago when I took the car in for service - so the estimate is relatively accurate)

When I purchased my '06 IS350 with 31k miles on it, it still had the original Dunlops installed. Drove it home (700 miles), and within the week I had to get new tires before cords started showing. FRONT inner tire wear is normal, due to the alignment specs on these things from the factory.

The OEM tires last 20 K-miles, +/- 5 K depending on how aggressive you drive because of front inner tire wear. It seems to only affect the front tires and RWD.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I'll be picking up a set of new tires soon at about ~30k miles. Planning on getting the Continental ExtremeContact DWS.

I found a local place that will dismount, mount, and balance for $35 per tire. Would it be worth it to swap the sides of the fronts so the good outer sides become the inner side to get more life out of the tire?

Also, if I do go with the Continental DWS, is it safe to just change the fronts since the rear Dunlops are still good?...or do I need to switch out all four to the DWS?
