I Have been having all the symptoms of the carbon buildup in my 2006 IS 250, I have taken my car in to the dealer for the VSC/ check engine and they have been racking up the bills. 100k service, spark plugs, gas cap, y-pipe, and catalytic converters. In the past 10k miles I have spent about 5,000$ Trying to "fix" my engine trusting two different Lexus dealers. Finally after my car stalled on a busy road I drove it in there (25mph) and finally the code came up and they rebuilt my engine, though all 6 times I brought it in previously it had the check engine/VSC light on as well. Is there any chance I can recoup some of the previous bills for "fixes" that weren't working?

hit up corporate. call them/email provide receipts etc. I think you have a good chance. I wouldnt take no for an answer, maybe hire a lawyer or just submit paperwork to lemon law the vehicle.
