A friend wants to buy me car, how much should I Offer?
One of my friend's friend wants to get a nice decent car, My car is 09 IS250 AWD Star fire pearl on black. The interior is almost as new. It has 45k miles now. the body condition is excellent condition with no major scratches. Its fully loaded without ML. I work in city now. I don't really need a car. What do u guys think my car is worth now. I still owe 12k loan on it. its hard decision for me. Please advice me.

I just recently bought one like yours, same year, Matador Red Mica at Metro Lexus in Cleveland, with about 28k miles on it for 27K dollars. Yours has more miles, a dealer would probably ask 25 or 26 for it. But if you are private selling to a friend, maybe 20 to 24k depending on how good a friend!!!

If you were looking to get a new car, and were going to trade in your car, THEN I'd say to look at the KBB trade in value and private party value, and split the difference. You would both come out ahead.
But since you weren't even thinking of selling, that just hurts you. I'd just go with the KBB value for "good" condition.

It has AWD NAvigation backup camera heated ventilated seat , adaptive cruise control. Im kinda of thinking to sell it because i only drive it on weekend and put like 50 miles on it every weekend or less. The only reason I think of selling it is It is a IS250 and I dont really like the power of it. I wish I had bougth a IS350

Based on your location and the statement about the car being a little underpowered for your liking, I would sell it. My brother had a BMW in Manhattan and when he did the math, the car cost an absurd amount per use just to have around for the weekend. If you find you are really missing a car, you can always buy another one and upgrade. I would also check Auto Trader and see what the market looks like for private party listings as a another reference point on price.

I live in Brooklyn and its park in my garage. i work in midtown and i take subway everyday except on the weekend i drive my lexus. My dad has Acura TSX too and he barely drive it. The only thing that bothers me that is I still like it its a beautiful car and I keep it very nice. It looks exactly like the picture i post 2 years ago.
