I don't trust reviews themselves as we ALL experienced "mixed reviews" ... some people think it's good cause it's cheap, some people hate it cause it's expensive, but nobody really actually talks about the problem itself. I had a "reputable" place fix my rims. 5 stars, best in town, bbb, and all this other bs but the work that was done was HORRIFYING! worse ever! but I went cause it was reputable and ended up getting screwed. they fixed it but it was sloppy so I ended up re-lipping it.. if it doesn't bother you much, leave it.. if it does, then buy a lip and replace it. I personally think that's your only 2 choices, but there might be a few that could chime in to assist. from the look of that rash, i'd say you were checking a chick out and your gf decided to smack you across the face while driving. personal experience lol

I did the same thing to my dads sportmax xxr 502's and could not get them refinished anywhere since the chrome lip is a separate piece and finish from the spokes. Yours look like they would be the same way. Just ended up buying a new one...

Can you sand them down then polish it?

Yours may be able to be... the chrome plating is just so thin its hard to do without sanding threw the chrome and exposing the raw metal then you just have "smooth curb rash" . In your pictures it doesnt look like you scratched all the way threw the chrome so it may be repairable. I know there is a ton of companies who do wheel repair, many come to you and dont need to even remove the wheels from the car so it would be easy to get a professional opinion.

i got a guy who fixes rims. he is cheap and fair, however, i dont think he will refinish the chrome. On my honda buddy clubs i had him machine it to fix the dents and I went to the hobby shop and bought spray paint. I used a brush to apply the paint, no one could tell. his info:

boltons classic wheels
16516 s western ave gardena 90247
310 538 5046.

I think he charged me $45 and took 2-3 hours to do.

In Hayward.

I don't have chrome rims so that may be a problem... Give them a call. You might be able to get just the lips painted a contrasting color... Just a thought.

had this just been a polished lip i wouldve said just sand it down. but with chrome, thatll be a tough one outside of getting it fixed and redipped
