So, I brought my 2007 IS250 to the dealer for the routine oil change as I always do and the service advisor told me about the warranty extension on the engine in my car, apparently there is a carbon build up problem which causes the car to idle funny and also stall out sometimes. which was happening to my wife but not so much to me as I drive it like I stole it.

The advisor took my car in and gave me a loaner car, he brought me keys to a ES I then said "your going to put me in a grandma car?" so he went and looked to see what else he had and said "how about a 2014 IS250" I replied yea we can work with that.

They took my car and let it cool down before running the tests and once they ran the test it revealed 12 misfires the first time they revved the car up. so they are completely overhauling my engine, new pistons, rings etc! pretty much a brand new engine. so my IS250 that had 95k on it now has 0!!

So with all that being said, if anyone is having this issue I would go to the dealer ASAP

dude, no way!

I heard some BMW also have this issue, but not extending the warranty.
