And it's not $500 a month. I picked up an '08 in November with 23k on the odo. I pay just about 390.
The $500 is included with insurance, $400 for car $100 for insurance. And a house requires a much bigger down payment, or to put it another way I wouldn't buy a condo or house without putting down at least 15-20k, so at this time I can only get one. So that's the debate, do I grt cheaper car and save alot quicker or grt a really nice car and still save but slower...

Default is300 vs is350

I, on the other hand, am on the fence about selling. Wife got a ct200h f-sport and now i have her 06 is350 red, chrome, all the options. I also have my favorite, a 05 is300 with 78k miles. None of them never gave me any problems.
I don't know whether to sell the is300 or the is350. I am leaning towards keeping the is300.
What do you guys think I should do?

A lot good advice here but ultimately you must decide what you need in a car. If you want to do some heavy modding than go with an IS300. If you want to do a couple small mods and just get in and drive than get an IS350. Also, you're just 24 years old. There will be time for mortgages, minivans, etc. Now... enjoy your life... go with the car your heart wants.

The number $500 is out of proportion on the difference between IS300 and IS350.

Here is the math below using some very strong assumptions already:
1. IS350 cost more than IS300 by 15,000. This is overestimated by a lot.
2. IS350 insurance cost more than IS300 by 500 a year. This is also estimated by a lot.
==> The increase in cost of getting the IS350 is about $324.73.

Detailed calculations below:
15k loan because IS350 cost more than IS300 by 15k, 5% interest rate with 60 months term, monthly payment is $283.07 a month.

Insurance increase from IS350 over IS300, let's overestimate it by 500. That comes out 500/12 = 41.66 a month.

The INCREASED cost of IS350 over the IS300 is = 283.07 +41.66 = 324.73.

It does not cost you over 500 a month to get the IS350 over the IS300.

Originally I wanted a 250 but decided I woukd go for a 350 for around 20k. I would be financing with around 5k for down payment. But now an idea jumped into my head, should I just get an 02-05 is300 and just buy it for cash 5-8k and save myself around $500 a month for the monthly payment plus insurance? I know it's ultimately up to me and I sure would love to get a 2007-2008 low mileage is350. I can afford the 500 a month and still have some money left over to have for other bills and have some fun with. But I am no where near being rich or anything like that and 500 a month I can put away for a down-payment for a house or condo further down the line... Decisions decisions, can anyone put some input on this on what u might do, I'm almost 24 and still live with parent so I help out with rent once in a while but mostly I pay for my own bills like phone, gas, food etc.. So again I can pretty easily afford it as I work alot and don't go out and party and spend money on stupid crap like that.. Once in a while I'll go out to eat or go outta state to cabin in Wisconsin.. What u guys think. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If money is not that tight, I would sell the IS300 and get the IS350 or even keep both lol. I kept both IS250 and IS350 haha.
