Exclamation HID Flickering

I have already replaced both the bulbs, every once in a while after about an hour or so being on they start to flicker, usually one at a time, sometimes the left side and sometimes the right? What could be causing this please help, thanks!

Some more info:
they do not completely turn off just flicker slightly to notice, especially when stopped.
flickers more when afs is activated
Phillips D4s purchased from amazon

Don't think its the ballast as both headlights were replaced about a year ago due to an accident.

Hmmm id check your contacts n make sure nothing like corrosion is building up, and what's the wattage of ur bulbs? If its 55watts then u definitely need to get rid of the asap, they will melt ur connection to the d4s bulb. The OEM wattage for our lexus's are 35 watt, I had a similar problem n that's what the problem was

^The headlamps themselves and the ballasts are two different components. The ballast is simple box that is external to the headlamps; they look like this :

Though it is totally possible that in an accident sitation that the ballasts might have been replacd, due to damage; but it is much less likely. If youstill have the invoice for the repair work, check it for the word "ballast". If not listed, they're probably still the same ones from the factory...which do over time tend to start doing exactly what you posted here.

GL!

I checked all the connections already!

Also as per the insurance adjusters report he put in both left and right Head Light Assembly coming at around $900 each. And I'm pretty sure that didn't reuse the old ballast . And how could both ballast be going out at the same time, possible, but unlikely.

assembly is just the stripped body, doesn't necessarily come with bulbs and ballasts
