Default Suspension performance after lowering?

So, I really want to lower my car just a little like 1-1.5inches. however I'm hesitant because my car handles REALLY good right now I take it 85-90 around some pretty sharp corners and it just hugs and goes. I'm afraid that I wont have this kind of handling if I lower it and that would make me sad!

Maybe someone here has lowered their car and can shed some light on this about the handling before and after? I was thinking a good brand of springs were used maybe it would handle good. just don't know.

As long as you use quality brand springs, it should handle even better after lowered. Lower center of gravity, stiffer springs, etc makes handling improve

I have the same exact springs (tein s-techs) and no complaints. Can't attest to hugging the road at 90mph turns, but for daily regular with some spirited driving they handle great.

Yea I'd much like to know as well, I bought the car used about 2 years ago. I haven't looked at it much. I used to work on my cars all the time but that's when I drove Honda's and such. I grew up and got the lex she never needs any work

There is a pretty big gap between the wheel and the fender so I'm pretty sure they are stock. Here is a pic I have handy of when I plastidipped the rims. Oh and the tires are pretty wide. I had a 2014 is250 rental last week and the tires were a lot narrower and it didn't handle as good.

Get coilovers and sway bars and it'll be tight!

x2!

Lowering the car is only going to make it handle better. I would suggest coilovers, because you have more control over the exact stiffness and height you like. And if you are really serious about cornering, a stiffer sway bar in the front on a RWD car will do wonders. Reducing that body roll will make it feel like a little go-kart around those corners.
