Default Nav update with USB

Wanting to update my new to me 2011 IS250 with navi. What I need (Told from the dealer and searching online)is the update on a USB drive. Hope some on here has done this. Does the USB plug into the port in the center console or is there one under the dash somewhere? I read online some where about under the dash.
Look for some guidance.
Thanks

Updating the HDD based navigation system is not a do-it-yourself job. It requires a navigation update tool which is loaded with dealer-only map DVDs. The USB drive you purchased is a one-time-use security key that enables the map data to be uploaded to each car.

Ok I understand now, I have to pay $169 for the dongle (USB) and then pay $145 for the dealer to install the update.
Thanks
