Default Thinking about trading my 07 IS350 for 11 IS250 F-Sport

Anyone done this and have any regrets? I love my car and the power but really love the F-Sports. Any issues on the 250's beside carbon build up? I'm looking to go to Atlanta this Saturday and deal it out. It's got 55,000 miles and what should I be cautious of?

Why? The 2nd gen IS fsports are not radically different like the 3rd gen fsports. Just get upgrades for your IS350.

that makes no sense. What do you love about the Fsport? There's bumper upgrades that will make your car look like an F-sport

Mine has 135,000 miles and just looking for a newer low mileage IS. Love the silver with black interior, wheels, bumper, headlights and more. Just looking for input, thanks.

take my word for it...... youre going to hate an is250 if youre coming from an is350......
I used to absolutely love my old is250... but once i had a rental car of a gs350 for about a week and the second i got back into my car and started driving..... the throttle response/power felt like a go kart. a very very slow go kart. I ended up selling my car and trading up about 2 months after that whole ordeal

Long story short youre going to hate your car and sorely regret your decision.

I have a 250 f sport right now as a loaner and would not trade my 06 350 for it. If your gonna upgrade get a 350 f sport, there is no comparison in power.

Not for anything, but you have a 135,000 miles on your car and it's 7 years old. When the time comes to sell, you won't get a fantastic offer.

Get the newer, lower mileage car, if power means a lot to you, get a newer lower mileage IS350.

IS350 to IS250 would be very hard to get use, IMO.

Funny how everyone throws their two cents without even stating any real facts other than opinions.

OP I traded in my 2007 IS350 with 54,000 miles for a brand new 2012 IS250 Fsport in USB and do not regret it one bit.

Here's the truth. There are many pros and 1 major con. That's power. I do miss my IS350's quickness but that's maybe once a month. I don't race places or to my friends houses'. IF power is for you though, I wouldn't do it. Just keep modding the 350. You can make it look like an Fsport.

Pros? for those who couldn't think of them.

NEWER CAR.
2007 engines are very well known for camshaft rattles.
His car - 135,000 miles, its worth $8000 at best right now.
Warranty
Fsport bumper
Fsport grille
IS-F spoiler
LED 2011 Headlights
LED 2011 Taillights
2011 Rear bumper
2011 Side Mirrors
Fsport Bucket seats front and rear
Suede and leather
Fsport steering wheel
BLACK EVERYTHING on the interior including headliner and pillars.
Badgin and better gas mileage

Camshaft TSIB fixes the cam rattle. So what does having a car worth $8k have anything to do with going out to spend more? If the OP is the original owner, reliability might actually be better with his current car.

Yea which also puts your car at the dealership for weeks possibly and most of the time its back in the shop weeks later.

The point is get the $8000 out of it while you still can, not much left till 200K, thought that would have been easy to see but ill explain it for you.

I do agree on the second car and its maintenance records. Look into those. 55,000 for a 2011 isn't exactly low mileage.

Gas mileage on 250 is not that much better.

Jbone29, I love my 2011 IS250 Fsport Loaded
I had G37s, 08IS250 and my wife had G37 sedan and I still love my car.
Im planning on keeping my ride a very long time, it's a keeper.
All did was add the Fsport sways and damn it corners. Next will be chassis braces and better tires, it's a wrap.
