Default Borla Too Loud at High Speeds - Any Suggestions about other quieter Exhausts?

Hello Everyone,

I am the proud new owner of a 2006 IS350 that I am buying for my daughter and I am needing your expert advice on the existing exhaust system. It is a Borla system and it is very loud and low speeds and highway speeds. I am looking for another alternative to quite this car down since it is for my daughter.

I wanted to get her into the safest and nicest looking Lexus that I could find and I believe that I got a great deal on this one. The only issue that I have with the car is the exhaust. Any ideas on what I can purchase that will make this a quieter car for her to drive and carry her work associates around with her?

- Should I go back stock?
- Is there another Exhaust setup that you could recommend for quietness?

Thank You for any and all suggestions,
Kirk

Yes, go back to stock. Search your local craigslist or junk yard for an OEM one; should be arou lnd $200 or less.

Go with the Fujitsubo exhaust system, very quiet almost like the stock one except when you punch it and go over 3000 rpm then you'll hear a nice growl. It's made in Japan and is fully polished stainless steel built. I know because I have it on my 07 IS350

Do you really want her to have an aftermarket exhaust? I day go to stock. If not Greedy is nice and quiet. The one recommended above is too much money

Nope, not that expensive, it was pretty reasonably priced, $700 for the system. I used to have the Tanabe Medalion before that, that one is fairly quiet too and I paid $600 for it..
