Default 2006+ IS350 Carbon Issues?

I just got rid of our 2009 MINI S for various reasons and one of themwas the Carbon build up problem.

Do I need to worry regarding my 09 IS350?

Thanks.

The 350 engine does not suffer from the carbon buildup issue.

No carbon build-up with IS350 but there are some potential major issues such as leaky timing chain cover, misfire, leaky water pump, etc... do some research on these and make sure you throughly check out the car before pulling the trigger. Maybe get one with some warranty on it to be on the safe side.
Good luck with your search.

Because the IS350 have both direct injection AND port injection, we don't seem to have the same carbon build-up problems that the IS250s have.

My co-worker just dropped $9k on a new Cooper S motor/turbo/clutch/FW/shocks this past month. I cannot believe he didn't want to sell it!
