Default 19" IS350 Wheel size

Hello everyone,

I found a pretty good deal for an IS350 but the only thing is that the wheels are 19". Would I need to change all the tires to 18" after I buy it because I heard 19" wheels are not as comfortable and doesn't fit the best for an IS350. What do bigger wheels do? Pros/cons? Thank you!

If they're 19" wheels then you can't just fit 18" tires on them. I hope that's not what you meant lol

18" wheels can fit chunkier tires so they would be more comfortable, up to your own preference though.

The front wheels are 225/35ZR19 and the rear wheels are 255/35ZR19. What does this even mean? I am sorry I am new to this. Is this setup good on an IS350?

The 225 indicates this tire is 225 millimeters across from the widest point of its outer sidewall to the widest point of its inner sidewall when mounted and measured on a specified width wheel.

The second number (35) indicates that this tire size's sidewall height (from rim to tread) is 35% of its section width.

The last number (19) indicates the size of tire for fitment on a given wheel, or rim. For you, 19 means 19 inch rims.

I currently run 235/35/19 on the fronts, and on the rears 275/30/19. My fronts rub currently over large bumps so I will be scaling back to a 225 when I need new tires and then try to re-install my front springs to see if I can be lowered on all 4 without rubbing. No issues with the rears and my rears are lowered.
