Hi guys,

A wrecker near me has a totalled F-Sport that he's parting out. I love the black roof liner but was just wondering if it were possible to transfer it into my car?

Everything from the actual roof liner, sunroof liner, to window pillars etc. How hard a job would it be?

It is possible to do but in the IS the roof liner is put in through one of the windshields from the factory if i remember correctly. If you're willing to take that out, not that hard. You'll just need to take off everything dashboard height up. If you can get the schematics you could possibly do it in 2-3 days if you have no idea what you're doing. It'll suck trying to get the curtain airbags out so you can undo the sunroof assembly.

If youre not willing to do that I think you can do it by essentially stripping the whole interior and folding the headliner after the seats/dash/steering wheel is out but you probably wouldn't want to do it that way anyways. Not sure if its even possible, but if it is you have a high possibility of creasing the headliner which cannot be fixed. Its also a p.i.t.a.

Its easy, just time consuming. You will need to remove all the seats to slip the headliner out the door rather than remove the windshield. Theres plenty of old threads with custom headliner details.

What year is it? If 2010 up should be lsd. If so ask what he wants. You'll probably have several here who want one.

It's not that easy and very time consuming. It all depends on your mechanical skill. I had mine redone when my stereo was being done. It was removed through the door but all seats and steering wheel were removed. It all depends on how bad you want it. I then bought the grab handles, coat hooks, visors, and a couple other parts to be black too.
