Default Question about a service history

I'm looking at an IS350 and the Carfax report says there is an outstanding manufacturer recall on the vehicle. It has 88,000 miles on it at present. I ran the VIN through the Lexus Owners website to see if it was the cam gear recall that was still outstanding on it. It shows the following done in the 7 pages of service history:

Dealer Reported 02/25/2009 Lexus of Cerritos 33394 0002436 PERFORM SERVICE CAMPAIGN 9LC--REPLACE POWER STEERING LINK

Dealer Reported 02/25/2009 Lexus of Cerritos 33394 0002436 PERFORM SERVICE CAMPAIGN 9LB--INSPECT REAR BRAKE CALIPERS AND REPLACE REAR BRAKE

Dealer Reported 02/25/2009 Lexus of Cerritos 33394 0002436 PERFORM SERVICE CAMPAIGN 9LA--REPLACE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE

Dealer Reported 02/18/2011 Crown Lexus 56956 0227981 ALE REPL COMP SPRINGS & LASH ADJUSTERS FOR IS 350

Dealer Reported 02/18/2011 Crown Lexus 56956 0227981 BLA TIGHTEN FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR GASKET - IS/GS

Dealer Reported 08/08/2011 Crown Lexus 63410 0240928 MULTI-DISPLAY

Dealer Reported 02/23/2013 Crown Lexus 79345 0278557 REMOVE SERRATION PATTERN & INSTALL NEW WIPER ARM NUTS

Those were the items in the list that weren't "Move line item x to C" or "oil change", "Set tire pressure", etc..

What recalls are missing from the list here, and with the car having almost 90k miles on it, if I buy it will I have a hard time getting Lexus to make good on the recall? The car isn't at a Lexus dealer for sale.

Thanks for the help.

Lexus will perform the recall(s) no matter how many miles are on the car, and they will inform you of any recalls not performed yet.

To check outstanding recalls on the car you can go to the Lexus website and make a account and type in the VIN. There are different recalls for different years. Now all recalls are
voluntary. Recalls are done free of charge as long as it applies to your vehicle. Dealers shouldn't give you any problems.

The ones I listed were from the Lexus website. I was just wondering if there was one that was not shown there that I should be concerned with.

I've been loving the Lexus website. Every place I look at a car online I coy/paste the VIN in to see what all has been done to it. Honestly I'm quite impressed with how many of these cars have continued to be serviced at a Lexus dealer through the life they have lived so far. Some things I roll my eyes at when I see them entered into the system (wipers changed or tire pressure checked) as they are just things that I always keep up on my own and check almost weekly.

Thanks for your reply!

Emergency trunch release recall and cam rattle recall seem to not be listed; I guess those are the two most recent ones that need to be addressed. Of course, those are FREE services performed @ Lexus.

Ok. I thought this one: "ALE REPL COMP SPRINGS & LASH ADJUSTERS FOR IS 350" was the Cam one. What is that one then??

If you enter the car's VIN, and go to the recalls page, if there are any outstanding recalls or "service programs" that have not been performed, they will be listed. If everything that this specific car was recalled for have been done, it will say there are no outstanding service programs.

Thanks! I don't know why I didn't see that before. Right next to the VIN I put in a link appeared to Service Campaigns/Recalls, and on this vehicle I was looking at it only shows 1 :

2006 IS350
Safety Recall DLG Remedy Notice - Certain 2006 to 2011 Model Year IS350, Certain 2010 to 2011 Model Year IS350C and Certain 2007 to 2011 Model Year GS350 Vehicles - 2GR-FSE Intake VVT Actuator Gear

Now I just need to convince my wife that her new car needs to go under the wrench as soon as we buy it. Not sure how she'll go for this one knowing this (even though all of them have to at some point for it).

That was for the valve spring recall.
