Exclamation TPMS quick question!

Ive been trying to deal with this TPMS problem for over 6 months now its such a head ace. Just one of my sensors is bad but im getting new tires put on and I don't know wether to replace them all or just the one... What do you think I should do? I have a 2006 lexus is250.

Heres just for one lexus is250 sensor.

Here is 4 tpms sensors, however they are made for a Toyota camry and I am worried that they will not program correctly with my cars computer. Has anyone every tried buying these type of sensors made for a Camry and they still program correctly?

What do you think I should do?

Don't they eventually run out of battery? Since your car is 06 I would replace all four. Replace with new or refurbished units.

The batteries usually last about ten years. I would replace just the one before I bought used ones on ebay. Up to you, but if they don't work or the techs can't get them initialized you're gonna have to pay to have good ones put it, vs. rolling the dice with your fairly-new sensors.

Do you think those 4 toyota camry sensors will analyze correctly?

Most Toyota/Lexus TPMS sensors are interchangeable. They just need to be programmed to your car.
I recently (2 wks ago) used 2006 GS300/GS350 sensors on my 2007 IS250. I went to Discount Tire and they have a tool to scan the sensors

1. I made them check to see if they were still good.. which they were. I didn't have my hopes up considering they were 7-8yrs old already.
2. They apparently will program sensors for free.

I'm not telling you that it WILL work, just saying I used sensors from a different car and it worked in my case. Hope that helps a little?

Considering the eBay seller says it will work for an IS250 and offer a warranty, I'd say go for it. It will be a gamble

Yota sensors will work. But will those sensors work? Worth a shot for $40, but if they fail you'll have to pay to swap them back out. I'd just replace the one bad one if I were you.

if you got to Discount tires/Americas tires they do TPMS replacements for pretty cheap. Programing is free from my knowledge. try giving them a call if you have them around your area.

just replace all 4 with brand new ones, sure it'll cost more for brand new. but at least you'll know for sure it'll be programmable and compatable

Anybody know if the 2IS can hold two sets of tpms info?

Wanting to keep my stock wheels tpms and have my aftermarket wheels with tpms.

Looking to have both tpms programmed in so i can swap wheels freely. I have searched the forum and didnt see any solid yes or no answers and was wondering if anybody knows?

Thanks in advance!

I had to get 5 of them for my wife's 300M last year. It was a 2003 and the one in the spare had gone bad. Every time the car was started alarms were going off saying the spare was missing. About a week later another one went, then a third. JUst bit the bullet and bought all 5 and replaced them at once (Thankfully it was tire time anyways). I got them off of Amazon. I have a Prime membership, so free 2 day shipping anf they were here. I think they were about $40 each for her car. I found the part number using Rockauto.com and searched Amazon for it to find them. Costco put them all in for me when they were putting on the Michelin Pilot Sports. They charged $22 to put all 5 in. About a month later Costco sent me a check for $22 with an explanation that I was incorrectly charged for the install. If you have a membership there, see if they'll do it for you. Bonus is they always fill your tires with Nitrogen.

Yes, the IS has an option for you to select MAIN or 2nd. If you scroll through the <O> buttons on the bottom of the steering wheel, you will see the option to change which TPMS the car is reading off of.
