IS350 stalling out when doing donuts?
I have some tires that need to be replaced soon, so I figured I'd have some fun with them before I tossed them. I've never tried donuts before, so naturally I had no idea what I was doing (don't worry, I went to a nice, big, open, empty lot), and I spun out repeatedly. Thing is whenever I spun out, the car would stall. Why is this? Is it a protective behavior of some kind? I feel like my car is telling me "NOPENOPENOPE. You have no idea what you're doing... that's quite enough"

Are you positive you had VSC off? I can turn trac off while VSC is still active, I can make the biggest baddest burnout but once the car goes a little sideways it cuts the fun.
On my 2011 if I hit the trac button it says TRAC OFF, but I need to hold the button for about 5 seconds then a yellow skid warning light comes off saying VSC off. You are then free to kill yourself and the system won't bat an eye.

You may have had the VSC off but I believe it turns back on after a specific MPH...I think like 19mph or something like that. You have to hold the VSC button down for several seconds to completely shut it off and not come back on until you either turn it back on manually or turn off the engine and turn it back on.
