Roof Spoiler IS250
For those with oem.thing or other ebay roof spoilers, did you tape 3M double sided tape all across the spoiler or just the sides? Is it ok to tape over the windshield? Will it affect the defroster? TIA.

I have an oem.thing spoiler in 1G0 - the color match was perfect. I used the 3M double sided tape supplied with the spoiler. You can also buy it by searching for 3M 03616 Scotch-Mount. It works very well.
For mounting, I applied the tape all the way around the outside. It's very moldable so you can follow the curves and contours without cutting the tape. Just doing the sides won't be enough. It mounts directly onto rear windshield - personally, I lined it up exactly with the window which leaves a gap between the glass and roof. The defrosters are on the inside, so you won't have any issues.
Just a few words of advice: clean the window very well and do not remove the backing on the tape until you are ready to mount. Once the backing is removed, mount it immediately. Let the adhesive cure for at least a day in warm weather before taking your baby out onto the highway.
