Default Most comfortable/smooth tires

What do you guys think the most comfortable tires are? For stock IS350 wheels. I am thinking either Continental ExtremeContact or a Michelin tire. What does everyone think/experience?

Michelins. I have had the continental extreme contact tires and they can be noisy. Michelins tend to be one of the best and comparable to Bridgestones. Depends exactly what you deem as comfortable but take a look at tirerack.com and read the reviews its very helpful to determine exactly what your needs are.

My personal opinion is Toyo's. They're great tires for comfort and more importantly road noise. I had the Toyo Proxes for years and loved them!

Continental DWS, they are one of the best balanced tire that is very comfortable and handle damn good. Also, they will last a longggg time (50,000 miles warranty on it from factory) plus tons of good reviews on Tirerack.

I put the Michelin Pilot A/S on my wife's IS350 a year ago and love them. Quiet, smooth, and seem to be wearing well. Not cheap, though. Check Tire Rack.

I recommend Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports. SUPER quiet tire, great grip in the dry and last pretty long.

Michelin Pilot SS are GREAT tires but they are expensive and wear out quicker.

I was thinking about that too. RE760's aren't nearly as expensive as Michelins Sports

Pilot Super Sports are better than the RE760s. I have tried them both. You can get a set of PSS for about $900.

I know PSS is one of the best handling out there but how long does it really last?? 25k miles? Is it the MOST quiet and comfortable tire, not handling, is the question being asked.

Michelin Pilot SS UTQG: 300, 30K mile treadwear warranty

Brigdgestone RE760 UTQG: 340, no treadwear warranty

Take the UTQG numbers with a grain of salt. Whats more impressive is the treadwear warranty. IMO, the SS will be both more quiet (especially as they wear over time) and more comfortable in addition to handle significantly better. Tread life will be comparable. In the snow, you are screwed, however.

I would still choose Continental DWS with 50k mile treadwear warranty. It doesn't handle as good as Michelin Pilot SS but it is more comfortable, quieter, last almost twice longer, and way cheaper. I believe they have a direct comparison between these 2 tires at Tirerack.

I've had nothing but great results from Falken Ziex 512 (awesome tire but discontinued), Toyo Proxes, and Hankook tires. Hankook Ventus V12 is my favorite so far. Goodyear also but depends on the tires.

Since my job has me traveling more frequently, I've been trying some of the lesser/cheaper brand tires to save on money since the IS tires usually get around 15k to a full set. I am currently on a set of Achillies ATR Sports and they are awesome in went and dry weather, quiet on the road and after 10k miles has yet to show any signs of major wear unlike my previous hankooks.
