Replica 2011-2012 LED headlights (Alibaba)

Agree with you. Low price part does not imply trash nor will low price part always cheapen the look of Lexus. One extreme example would be, having 2 or 3 piece forged Work wheels for like $8000 + will definitely make the Lexus stand out but that does NOT mean having may be a $2000 set from Enkei or Vossen or many other wheels in this price range cheapen the Lexus. Some of these are not that far off in term of weight, look, and quality compared to the super expensive wheels either.
Keep up your good work with the project.

If there was a "thanks" button this forum, i would give you one. Agreed 100%. Yes these headlights are not up to OEM quality but at the same time it doesn't look like off the shelf parts slapped together. Honestly IMO they did a good job replicating the 2012 headlights. The same can be said for the replica NAVIs where I actually prefer it to the OEM as it is reliable, as well as the options to customize it.
I'm lost on why you are comparing it to the turbo whistler.
Even if these headlights don't perform well out of the box, this is the perfect project to get my hands dirty and modify it myself. Even if i had 2012 headlights I would probably open them up and end up modifying the lens for better output, etc. At $400 for replicas, why not? And i won't care if i mess up.
Nothing else to say, that is all. Back onto headlight modding and hopefully others can benefit from whatever we discover with these replica 2012 headlights.
I like! The headlights they make for the VWs are also pretty close to OEM. Will need to do some research on other car forums to see if anyone else has picked them up.

After installation
After installation....
Package came with broken tab on top of headlight. .. no big deal for me... I was still able to install it.
Overall impression.. I am fairly happy with the purchase. .. will see how long these last

Thanks for sharing, they look 100% better than i anticipated.
The bulge is noticeable if you pain the projector ring black then it should hide it well.
Did you order flat black or gloss?
Also are you running a HID kit in the low beams?

Not bad looking at all. You can work with that.
Now.. is it possible to open them up and retrofit a better set of projectors? Depends on how much room there is inside I suppose. That bulge seem hardly noticeable from any angle other than up close it seems.
I have oem HID and AFS (not afs anymore after the retro, but the functionality may be regained).. Can one of you nice gentlemen take a picture of the wire harness that it comes with?
