Default M1 0W30 Oil Analysis

I attached my Mobil 1 0w30 oil analysis that I just did on my previous oil change.
Just some material for those who would like to view it.

im not sure what oil the previous owner had but when I switched to RP about 600 miles after I purchased the car, I did notice the engine ran much smoother. a lot of other members running RP say the same. And RP does have a certification for their regular synthetic oil but no certification for HPS. RP says their HPS oil provides one of the best cold start protection. plus it contains high levels of zinc and phosphorous. I saw the ball bearing test vid and I was sold.

Definitely not! All things need to be changed more often. That includes brake fluid (But I assume you use a racing fluid if you take it to a track and do that anyways).

The oil breaks down in heat. Go read the results of running M1 in any spirited fashion.

I ran M1 EP for 140k on 15k intervals without consumption. However that was light commuting. I chewed through a chain tensioner with it on another car. On a turbo'd car it is water very quicky.

Not all M1 is bad. See prior comments.

For the money there are better. Castrol is great for the coin.

If you're going to push the car, best to test the oil or for safety just half the interval. Instead of 10k go 5k. I am a firm believer in testing to confirm.

I have seen the same video. You should test the oil. I have seen some bad results from RP when pushed.

In my opinion, for the money, redline or amsoil provide a lot more protection. They are also the top two oils available for sale in this country. Both out perform the competition on all metrics. Amsoil #1 and redline #2. Both are packed with additives and don't sheer down too easily.

Both would be "over kill" for commuting mind you.

As for your improvement might only be the switch to a syn.
