My used 2012 IS 350 has headlight washers. I know that they are auto-leveling because I see the beam go up and down when I start the car, but how do I know if I also have AFS (adaptive front lighting system)? Is there some setting inside the car that tells me I have those?
AFS sounds like a cool feature. Why is it not available with the led headlamps? Do led headlamps make AFS redundant or technically impossible in some way?

Really not sure why this feature was disabled. I had taken both sets apart in comparison & thought about swapping some inner parts;however they are different in diameter and will require alot of modification.

They got rid of it in whatever MY that the LEDs debuted--I'm sure it was cost cutting. Before that, if you have HIDs, you also have AFS--it has nothing to do with headlight washers, which are a stand alone option. If you don't have it, you aren't missing much.
Key way to tell is the button to the left of the steering wheel used to adjust the speedo and tach rings that looks like this [<O>], and scroll thru the settings. If you have AFS, one of the settings is AFS On/Off.
