I was on 101 going to San Jose. I will find out tomorrow, the appraisal/shop will be looking at it. I'm just worried it will never be like before if repaired.

^Yeah, that's the hardest part of dealing with a heavily damaged vehicle that doesn't get totalled out. Is there a "diminished value" law in CA? I dont know how that all works; but if you keep the car, someone can comment about that.

Does not look totaled to me either. Can you lift the bonnet so we can see the fender lines and front clip please?

I'd consider it totaled to me personally, any car can be repaired back to 99.99% by the right people, Its "mentally" knowing your driving a vehicle that had a prior accident, Mentally it wouldn't feel the same for me, and as like others said, cough up a little extra for that 3IS or wait for the RC series. Glad your okay and good luck.

When i got into an accident, the insurance adjusters told me that if the airbags deploy, it is usually totalled but I think you have the option on what to do with it depending on how much damage there is.

Airbags are usually about $1500-$3000 each, depending on where they are located in the car. So they could be a significant portion of the repair cost in this case. Assuming no hidden damage, that could put you right on the borderline. Most insurance companies will pay full retail value for a totaled car.
