Hi I have a loud ticking rattling sound that is not going away after warm up and when I press gas gets louder. I tryed putting video couldn't Do it here's a pic of the area it's coming from across from the radiator. I got 07 is250 with 95k Thanks .
That kinda sounds like the cam gears. Go to the nearest lexus dealer to have it inspected. Im not too sure but I believe lexus do have recalls on this issue.

Is the cam gear recall when it rattles on start up I did that already..any other ideas out there??
Pull on each of the pulleys to see if you've got an excessive play. You can also remove the accessory belt and start the car for 10 seconds to see if the sound goes away. If it does, then you KNOW it is one of the pulleys.
With all of that said, the 2IS water pumps are VERY common to go out!

I dropped car off at Lexus lastnite. I do have warranty they haven't told me what it is yet. If it is pulleys would all that be covered under CPO? So water pumps can go out even without signs of leakage? Thanks
I had a similar ticking sound in my 2000 LX-470 but not as rapid. It was coming from the Exhaust Manifold, there was a small crack and the gasket went bad. You might want to suggest it and let the mechanic investigate?
