Default What accent colours to use on a black IS?

I know some people like all blacked out cars. They even black out the chrome moldings and get black wheels. When I see an all blacked out car, it looks nice, but at the same time, I prefer some accent colours to complement the black.
*
It’s easy to add accents to other colours like white, red, or silver cars. You can make the roof and the bottom rear bumper valence black. It’s funny how you can use black accents on a white car, but you can’t use white accents on a black car, although I think some black Mini’s have white tops.
*
For black muscle cars, I see people use blue, silver, or red racing strips and/or pin stripes. Golf GTI’s have red accents. But IMO, I don’t think any of this will look good on a black IS.
*
I think the only thing that looks acceptable on a black ISx50 is the chrome, so I guess that’s why the IS came with chrome moldings around the windows and front grill. Black Audi A4’s, BMW’s, Benz, and Infiniti just have chrome too, if I’m not mistaken.
*
Has anyone added accent colours to their black IS? If yes, please post some pics.

I think chrome looks the best, keeps the luxury look going. If you don't care for the chrome emblems in the back you could always just shave them off. I color matched the grille surround like a lot others have done here and it came out looking real good. I also have a black IS

I like black and silver/chrome.

+1 on the color match grill and silver emblems.

You mean like:

Thanks for your suggestion, but I was looking more for accent colours for the car body rather than the wheels.

I say just keep the chrome, it's a lexus and I feel like if you put any other colors it'll look cheap and tacky

Yes in my mind, those are the colours, but if someone was able to use other colours that turn out to look good on the IS, I'd love to see it.

I'm not sure if you mean body colors or colors on the brakes and accessories. I had red and carbon fiber as my accents.

black and blue, I have blue calipers and blue tinted hi beam bulbs, very subtle, but nice, and not too many people are doing the black and blue scheme.

Nice!

Thanks for all the suggestions on caliper, bulbs, and wheel colours, but I was hoping to see accent colours on the body panels. Like a black roof on a white car.

Hey, if someone did the A team theme and it looks good, I'd like to see it. LOL

Thanks!
