I never really had a bad issue with turning rotors before. However, in a very small way, turning rotors will effect caliper/piston wear. In addition, to potential overheating. It all depends on how much metal is still left on the rotors...

As a side note, I just purchased my IS350 today and the dealer showed me the little repair order on the car in which they brought it in... They turned the rotors... Of course, as a bargaining chip, it was like 200 dollars. Get out of here with that non-sense!
