In support of your idea. Also, I think with this, even though the initial logo is not eveyrone's cup of tea, it opens up to the flexibility of having different logo design and such so people can even design something they like which can be unique to their cars. 
I have them and think they actually don't look bad, not everyone's cup of tea. I'm trying to get my car to a point where it will no longer be my daily driver and start testing the waters at cars shows (still a lot of work to be done). I think the LED lights will compliment the rest of the car once body kit, etc are added. The fitment wasn't great and one kept popping out but I corrected the issue. I agree with GiantsFan, they'd look a lot better without the circle. I think I might play around with them and see if I can do some sort of modification.
