Same, I just tucked the box in an area out of the way and just left the covers off. I had a real hard time getting the thing to fit into the light housing (even when taking off the cover and wrapping in tape), mine have been like this now for 8 months and no fogging. I would just say if you can get them in there great, if not don't worry too much.

Not to thread jack but... I did it today. I cracked the boxes for the decoders apart and e-taped it. I was able to get the wires n things all stuffed inside and get the covers on... These were pains in the butt expecially the driver side. Here are my lights












I was going to install my polarg city lights but couldn't find them the wife mustve threw them out (she tends to do crap like that) so I decided to just finish the job without them.

Then after I wrapped it all up as I was putting my tools away I find these in my garage
