Default In the market for a IS250

Hello everyone.

I have been looking into getting a IS250 for quite some time now. However I have to wait as I am stuck with a lease that I am not too sure how to get out of (If anyone has ideas they would be greatly appreciated) I wanted to do some research before purchasing one though. My last car was a audi a4 and found out after i purchased it I got the year and model that had lots of problems so im trying to avoid that will this one.

I am looking at any IS250s, preferably AWD but RWD is fine. Anything I need to look for in particular when purchasing this model? my last car for example it was a cvt had lots of problems the year i purchased

Get the rear wheel drive, the Awd cant be lowered with a bunch of problems. You should go on autotrader or look in the classified autos section on here for lexus ISF instead! Twice the HP, better brake system, Ecu.. Etc for only a few more grand!

AWD if you want this to be reliable in the winter / don't care for lowering issues as said above ^.

Depends what year you're really looking for also.

ISF is probably not what you're looking for, as the lowest I can find is around 35k compared to a 12-24k range of IS250s.

Go for the 250 if you just want a durable car with decent enough power, or go for a 350 if you are into modding/performance gains.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...is-models.html this should help alot! Cheers and congrats in advance!

thank you both, all the ISFs I have seen are way out of my price range. I am trying to spend around 15-19k.

I don't have a particular year in mind, I like the look of them all. I remember reading about the lowering problem, I dont think I will be lowering mine though but might be good to keep it as an option though if I ever decide to in the future.

Reason I chose the IS250 over the 350, is the 350 will be more insurance because of the extra 100 hp otherwise I would go with that for the extra power if the insurance wasn't more per month. I haven't looked to see the exact difference though.

I will have to spend the next couple days reviewing that thread thanks for the link.

Yea man no problem, I've read tons about the 250 so you can ask away!

Exterior mods look sweet on the 250 it's just not what you want if you're looking to race haha. Still a sick car though.

Depends on how good the deal actually is, dont ever be afraid to walk away from a deal if you arent 100% satisfied with the price, most likely they will chase after you while you get in the car to drive off...

and them offering to pay lease is nice of them!

inspect the car thoroughly!

My '08 350 is about the same as my 160hp '06 tC for insurance, and actually cost me less to buy.

Watch the fine print! Buying out of your lease typically means they pay the remainder, but tack it on top of your new financing agreement. In the end they are not "paying" for it, you are.

My friend was telling me about this, I am going to make sure it is paid for and not included in some way type or form.

I am going to the dealership tomorrow they said they want to appraise it see if they can make money on my car if they bought it from the finance company. My only concern is that the car I am looking at getting from them it is a 2011 IS 250 but has 61k miles seems like a lot for a 2011
