So my CPO just expired last week guess what happens my alternator is going just had it tested at Autozone because I had check engine light. Not one sign or nothing Some freaking luck. Went to dealer manager said nothing they can do about it. And offered me $535 deal for labor and parts. I will prob get part and do it myself.

$160 from AutoZone with core. Besides one bolt that mounts the lower ALT bracket to the block, it's cake to replace!

Do it yourself and move on. You could have much worse than an alternator fail at the end of your CPO coverage.....

You should at least use a volt meter to check the charge of the battery with all the accessories on to see if you will. Getting stuck somewhere would definitely cause a huge headache.

You will want to keep a phone # for a flat bed handy; as if you are to the point where the CEL/battery image is on the cluster, you might have only 1 maybe 2 short trips left on the battery. A bad alternator will drain AND can cause permanent damage to your battery. So after your alternator is replaced, I'd recommend a battery test as well.

Thanks for that. So I'm im do doing a test on battery and alternator and noticed my positive battery terminal is loose! Wow! So I believe this threw all the codes. I let the battery charge up for awhile ran test everything came back good! Warranty just expired!!-image-2630307624.jpg Snap-on tester is awesome printed this out.
