IS250 RWD in the snow???
Hey guys, so i was wondering about the is250 RWD in the snow. I read some old threads about it and driving slow and what not, but i already know all of that. My main question is, is it possible to get chains or cables on the car and drive safely (without hurting the car). I also have the Hankook Ventus V12 tires which i believe are M/S?? would those be fine in light snowy conditions?

I have an IS 250 RWD manual transmission that I have driven for the past couple of winters here in Illinois and I too have Hankook Ventus V12 which are great for summer use, but I won't be trying it for winter use. I'm going to be putting on my stock rims and order some winter tires. I just drive cautiously and depending on how bad it is, I sometimes use snow mode. Hope this helps and stay safe!

I live in NW Indiana where we get lake effect....in other words, 10 minutes away it could be sunny and 40 degrees, and here it will be dumping 18" of snow in two hours. I have an AWD IS 250. I haven't driven this car in snow yet as I got it earlier this year.
I have Conti DWS Extreme's on all four corners. How is snow mode? Does it cut throttle and make it feel more dangerous than just driving carefully? I'm used to driving a 06 4Runner AWD V8 limited and an 07 Suby Legacy. Both AWD and never had any issues unless it's really deep stuff, but just wonder how snow mode feels in this car.
