Hello, Just had battery die on first cold snap of winter and immediately upon getting battery replaced, the engine on my 2008 IS350 takes 2 pushes to crank. First one cranks and then dies everytime. Next push, cranks and runs but has CEL and Check VSC lights on. Also VSC light is on and it seems to be engaged as no real acceleration power and unable to cut off via control button. I have tried disconnecting negative battery terminal and letting it sit but same thing. Pulled codes and they are showing : 1201, P0102, P113. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fixed it! After days of searching fuses, checking gas cap and various internet searches, I pulled off the under hood cover beside the battery and found that the wire to the MAF sensor had been broken off. Apparently when the repairman leaned in to remove battery, he put pressure on cover over MAF and it snapped it off. So I carefully plugged back in pins and put some epoxy on it and good as gold!

Glad you found the problem, that's good life out the old battery, around seven years.

Where is the MAF sensor located? is it in front of the battery or to its left side?
