Did I install the steering wheel correctly? *Pic attached*
I took off the steering wheel to install a steering wheel leather wrap. But I'm not completely sure if I put it back properly since it feels a little bit looser. I can't recall if there was a gap.
Anyways, I also attached a picture of the finished product.
That does appear to be a pretty good gap in there. I just took my feeler gauges and measured an approximate 5-5.5mm gap in between the steering cover and the wheel. My steering wheel has never been removed...yet.
I don't remember seeing this wide of a gap when I istalled the damped. However, I did not take it off completely. Hope the photos will help.

Thanks for the help guys. Had to remove everything and re-adjust the steering wheel. Now it looks like the photo above.
Since I've got myself a new perforated leather F-sport wheel in the mail on its way to me, what DIY or thread did you use to help with your wheel removal/install? Any tips/tricks one should know before attempting this? Thanks!

I followed this video. Everything else is pretty much straight forward. Just make sure that the steering wheel is flush when you install it.
smokyis350, you did a good job with the cover. I spent 3 hours stitching mine and it came out like crap with parts not sticking in place. Looked so bad, I just went ahead and bought a new wheel off eBay.
Gville, just follow Sewell's video. I watched it and got it done it under 20 minutes in freezing weather in my garage. Here's the result!
That steering wheel looks much sicker than mine. How much did you pay?
I think it is a 10 minute job to remove the steering wheel. First, disconnect the battery (10mm) socket. Then pop off the 2 covers on each side and loosen 2 T-30 torx screw on each side. Then get a flat head screw driver and pop out the air bag plugs. Use a 19mm socket to remove the steering wheel bolt. That's it.

hi guys, just swapped steering wheel and i noticed the gap as well, what about airbag cover doesnt seem to sit flush or is it suppose to look like that? spend two hours and still cant figure out
yeah same here, i swapped mine to DCTMS steering wheel about 4 months ago i have that same gap.
i emailed them and they said send them a picture, but if others are having the same issue, it probably is just the steering wheel core that they use.
