Rear Clicking Noise from right rear wheel.

Rear Clicking Noise from right rear wheel.
I've only had my lexus for not even two months it's a 08 is250 awd with 97k. I have only put 299 miles on it and the right rear wheel is making a clicking thump sounds. I got under the car and noticed a lot of grease near where the axle connects to the hub but did not see a rip or tear in the boot. I'm pretty disapionted that i've only had the car for not even 2 months and i've got this issue. I can't even really drive the car without being embarrassed from the sound coming from the rear. Is this something that is easily fixed or will i have to replace the whole axle? I'm hoping the dealer i bought it from will fix it for me b/c im going to call them tomorrow pretty upset. I have never had any issues with my other lexus and toyotas but minor things but never had an issue with the cv or axles. Any recommendations would be helpful.

I would go back to the dealer for sure. Be very polite at first and discuss with them the issue and how you feel that this should be their responsibility to fix.
If they refuse, then start to make a stink and be very firm. And if that doesn't work, be subtle and hint that a poor reputation can hurt them financially a lot more than fixing the noise.

I can't go back to the dealer i got it from because they are 9 hours away, i had the car shipped. They only offered a 30 day 1000 mile warranty. The car is clean however the rear wheel is clicking and the rear hub has grease on it. I'm not really wanting to drive the car because of this.

If the axle boot is/was indeed leaking it would take a long time to start clicking like that. Longer than you've owned it most likely. You also would have heard it start clicking and gradually get worse. It wouldnt just get that bad in one day. Did you get the car on a lift and inspect underneath after you bought it?

I would still phone the dealer and explain the situation. Some may help you out of the goodness of their heart.
And +1 on jacking it up, take the wheel off and see if you can find where the noise is coming from.

Yes i just had it at lexus 2 weeks ago for a health check and they never said one thing about the axle or bearings being bad. I called sewell the the bear is 340 and axle is 1000 something without the clublexus discount.

It happens when i give it gas but sometimes it goes away when i left off but it comes right back, it really occurs at anytime. It happens when the car is cold or warmed up. I've never had this type of issues with any of my toyota or lexus's
