As the thread title says, I'm about to make a move to the world of Lexus and into an IS350. I have a couple I have narrowed down to. One is a base model with basically the only options being the woodgrain trim and the heated/cooled seats. My questions about options are these.

1. How easy is it to convert over to HID lights? Are there kits for them and how much do they generally run?

2. Is the Homelink system standard or an option?

Converting to HID is easy same if you have the factory d4s it's easy also plug in and play.

homelink i think is standard on all the packages unless you special ordered.

Are you sure your car doesn't already have HIDS? Most IS 250/350 in the Gulf/Southeast States came with them ("standard" options, along with 18" wheels). There are more important issues to check up on with the IS350 than the lights and the garage door opener! Search this forum to get familiar with what you need to check before you buy. Failure to do this could leave you with some very expensive repairs!
