Default Replacement Headlight Question

Hello, I recently bought a 08 IS250, and have been loving it! My first car was a Honda and it was great, but it doesn't compare to the comfort of this car. I just found out, after replacing the Ballast on the passenger side headlight (bought the car with one broken headlight), that although it now works, the housing suffered some damage and has a hole in it, if there's any rain, water will seep in and damage my ballast again. Thus I'm searching for a replacement headlight assembly.

The light is factory HID with auto level, I was looking to buy something to replace the whole passenger side assembly without breaking my bank and came across this. Will this work? Has anyone had any experience or reviewed it?

Suggestions to where else to buy also welcomed! Thanks!

I think your best option is to find a USED oem unit. Search ebay or local junk yards.

1. OEM is better quality.
2.If you buy a new headlight you will need both sides so that the lenses match in color. People will be able to tell you have a new one and an old one. They would clearly be able to see the differences in quality between the OEM and the Aftermarket one.

If you go aftermarket then do both sides. I would take a look at the headlights from Spec-d if you must go with an aftermarket solution. That being said stick with OEM.

I'm almost certain you will be disappointing with the TYC unit.

... I had an Acura RSX before this car so i feel you on the comfort.

Thanks gurble, I will stay OEM. I didn't think about having to replace both, but you brought up a good point.
Thanks again!

If you are getting an used OEM, just do a headlight restoration and they will match..

Hey guys my wires came loose after a small crash and they rubbed against my tire. Now there not working. I was thinking of getting some ELD headlights and connecting them straight to the fuse box intell I can get them fixed properly. Any suggestions?
