Car was 3 mo new to me mid summer 2017, I hit a 270° ramp *playing at speed* and the dam thing came on which freaked me a bit like it oil starved or something! Then as I read it, all I could think was "them A-holes that designed this thing could have put a delay on there...." lol or maybe:

Sort of like the low fuel gauge latches on once detected, as it never toggles on/off it just latches on until refilled.

I tried to install LED turn indicators and had the lower engine cover off. It's a lot of screws but offers the the best access to the washer tank.
If I read this thread right, there is no float just some exposed conductors sending current through the fluid. If coolant is low, no current flows and light is triggered. That said OP is looking for a bad connection. When you find the connector; jumper a 1M ohm resistor across it. If the light remains on, the problem is upstream somewhere.

FWIW - that same tank prevents one from installing LED bulbs in the 2011 up cars as its smack dab in the way.
