Default Stiff Brake Pedal

So the other day I disconnected the positive terminal of the battery so I could change out headlight bulbs. Changed out the bulbs, hooked the battery back up, and did the window up down thing. The problem is now if my car sits for an extended amount of time, overnight, the brake petal is rock hard. I have had it sitting for 5-6 hours and the pedal is normal pressure. Is there some brake trick like the window trick to reset it?

No reset that i am aware of. But if you push the brake and don't start the engine, the next time you push the brake it will be rock hard. Is that what happened? This goes away once you start the car.

It does go away once I start the car, but then comes back the next extended time I am away from my car. Its only happened overnight.

Well, I want to call it "normal" because I've personally had this happen to me numerous times on my 2IS and read about it ALOT on here. But the deal is, no one knows a "fix" for it because it's really not an issue. You just need to really stomp on it and hit the start button; the stiffness will then go away like you said. The "issues" usually only hangs around for a day or two, and then vanishes...only to return months/years down the road.

I experience that once too but it doesn't really bother me because it never comes back.

You can actually replicate this issue by turning off your car and step on the brake multiple times, and bammmm it becomes hard as rock lol.
