IS 250 Driver's Door Armrest Position
Hi
I just got my 2011 IS 250 AWD last week. Love the car. Came out of a 2005 Infiniti G35X.
I can't get a comfortable grip on the IS 250 steering wheel, and I thought it's because the driver's door armrest is low and it doesn't "jut" out enough (in depth) towards my body. But I think it is the shape of the wheel holes and it is a tad too thick for me. I end up putting my left hand on my lap a lot and it is not how I like to drive. I am a left hand on the wheel and right hand on the shifter driver. This is my comfort zone. I have tried lowering my seat quite a bit and still my thumb area is sore on longer commutes. I also have the wheel fully telescoped out towards me so I'm not too far away from the wheel. Right hand is good because I have my elbow on the center console so there's enough rest on that arm and hand. I also try putting my seat height as high as possible so I can have a good grip on the wheel that way and still, my left hand is fatigued.
Has anyone else found this issue and if so did you find a workaround? Can a dinner we'll be put into the car? Can't figure it out.
Thanks,

Yeah, the more I Think about it I think I also did not use the left arm rest in my infiniti but kept my arm left hand on the wheel the whole time with my right hand on the shift. It may be that the steering wheel is just a little bit too fat and I can't get comfortable. Is there an option to have the steering wheel swapped out to a thinner one?
