HELP Putting back centor console..ashtray sits higher than main center console? (pic)

Default HELP Putting back centor console..ashtray sits higher than main center console? (pic)

So i went to put everything back together cliped the shifter cup holder big center console piece in and bang the ashtray/cigarette lighter sits higher than main center console. I broke nothing i tried 100 different ways to put it back together lol can someone give me advice??? Thanks

I can tell from the lines on your carpet next to the center console that the way you have it right now the part towards the nav is sitting 1/4 inch higher than it used to.

Are you sure theres nothing in the way? That whole part should slip right back in after you connect all the wiring plugs back.

I never touched the piece by the carpet. I only took off the wood grain pieces on the center console.. and yea man nothings in the way idk what happend!!

You sure its not the wiring/plug for the cigarette lighter?

I think the cigarette lighter has to be opened (or closed?) to put it in properly -- it should slide in easily, if it doesn't, it's wrong position.

Your ashtray is not in right.I just had mine apart to install a dual USB instead of the useless cigarette lighter. It just takes a little finesse to get the ashtray/lighter to sit down in. I think it's door open and down and forward for it to sit down in right.Just look down in underneath first to see how it goes.

Figured it out the wood grain piece wasnt snapped in properly.. smh.. thanks guys for the quick response and help!!!!
